About:

Hello! My name is Gabby and I am the owner of Beaded planet. My journey started back in 2018 when my mom, a talented bead artist, gave me some beads and elastic. Fast forward to today, and making jewelry is now my full-time job! I am so thankful to everyone who has supported my shop and continues to support me as I grow my business. 

Now I want to go ahead and give you some fun facts about me so that you can learn more about the person behind all of this! 
  • I was born and raised in Connecticut, but am now living in Brooklyn, NY! 
  • My Mom is Puerto Rican and my dad is Guatemalan. According to my DNA test, I am about 42% indigenous. Although  I am most familiar with my Taino heritage, most of my indigenous heritage comes from my Guatemalan side. 
  • I am a super shy person and struggle a lot with anxiety. 
  • I come from an extremely artsy family. My grandpa was a painter, my mom creates beaded rosettes (along with other things), and my aunt is a sculptor. Being creative kind of runs in my family. 
  • Before Beaded Planet you could catch me working with animals. I’ve worked on a farm and I’ve been a dog bather. If I didn’t start my business, I’d probably be stacking hay bales on a farm somewhere. 
  • I live with my boyfriend and three cats: Wednesday (a tuxedo cat named after Wednesday Addams), Cooper (a tabby cat named after Special Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks), and Buffy (a black cat named after Buffy the Vampite Slayer). Of course I will include their pictures below. 
  • I am a huge supporter of the LGTBQIA+ community, BLM, Free Palestine Movement, and I am pro-choice. I occasionally donate to these causes.
